One method of treatment involves the use of ice and heat treatment. Physical therapy and stretching can also be useful in some cases.

For the necks to be brought in position, one requires a collar. Some antibiotics might be prescribed by the doctor and in some cases a patient might undergo a surgery. This is usually done in rare cases. Treatment can be done at home whenever the pains are minor. Ice can be applied for few days.

Using painkillers to relieve pain. Exercising necks occasionally prevents stiffness. Practicing a good posture especially if ones occupation requires them to sit down for long periods of time. When sleeping a person should change over and they should use a pillow. One can also do gentle massages on their necks every day.
