Why You Should Try All Natural Mouthwash

By Ronald Morris

Oral rinse is not a replacement for the twice a day routine. It is an addition. The rinse is meant to freshen breath in the course of the day. Traditional rinse is made from some very harmful chemicals. Most may think that it is fine because they are not swallowing. However, the lining of the mouth is very thin. The chemicals will be absorbed into the body whether or not one swallows. The best alternative is an all natural mouthwash which is kind and uses natural herbs and ingredients, which would not harm the oral mucosa.

Alcohol is a common ingredient in regular oral care products. It is deterrent to the production and function of saliva. Saliva is an active supporter of the digestive process. It is also a powerful tool against plaque. If it were compromised, the mouth would have trouble fighting cavities. Alcohol-free organic oral rinse is the only way to go.

Organic rinse also acts as an antibacterial. Bacteria in the mouth can very quickly and easily be absorbed into the body. It is best to keep the mouth free. Fluoride is used in most oral care products. It is thought to be very beneficial but a little-known fact is that it is actually also a carrier of a chain of risks.

The oral lining is prone to infections if the care regimen is not effective. These infections can easily penetrate the membrane and sip into the bloodstream. At this point, bad breath is not the only thing one will have to contend with. Using a natural product ensures that the mouth does not become a gateway to disease and infections.

One can easily make an oral rinse at home from a mixture of several tinctures. A myrrh tincture will be a preventative measure against gum disease. It will also relieve any possible toothaches. An Echinacea tincture will fight and keep off infections. Goldenseal will keep the gums healthy. Propolis is an antimicrobial. Plantain is very common and will draw out infections.

Get a mouthful of water in a glass. Add between twenty and thirty drops of the rinse. One can opt to add a bit of peppermint. This will add a breath freshener to the mix. Swish I the mouth for a bit then spit. This concoction might not taste very good. It is okay to have a sip after just to get the taste out.

One can make the mixture with other herbs or in addition to. For example, sage is a great tooth-whitening agent. White oak is effective on swollen gums. The bark of neem is also potent against plaque and cavities.

If one chooses to buy their rinse, it becomes important to study the table of contents. This will give stimulate every ingredient used. It will inform one of its standing. Is it natural or just good old regular?
