Advantages Of Using Plant Based Acne Cream

By Brenda Russell

Everyone hates when they develop breakouts that just will not clear. Well, the problem is probably that the wrong product is probably in play. The chemicals contained in animal-based products are useful but only for a time. Pretty soon one will notice that the skin is suffering and irritated. Using plant based acne cream is a better bet. The best, actually. With these, the skin will not be dry and flaky after a few days of using it. It will not exacerbate the breakout.

Tea tree oil is one of the most common elements to use. It is native to Australia but has gained popularity in the world over. The oil combats breakouts by two efficient mechanisms. The element is a natural antiseptic and speeds the healing process. This is very potent and should be diluted before use as a topical. An oil base is best if one is making a topical at home.

This is a little out there but oatmeal makes for a great face mask. It can also be used in a homemade topical. For the face mask, just cook it as usual until it is a paste. One may even scoop up a little from the breakfast batch, no harm in it. Drop in some honey and/or olive oil then apply on the face generously. Let it sit for about twenty minutes then wash it off. It is an exfoliant and moisturizer all in one.

Olive oil is a very versatile element. It can be used in recipes and can also be used as a base for vinaigrette. The oil also makes for a good topical product. It cleanses and moisturizes the skin without leaving it feeling heavy and oily. This also makes for a good base for CBD topicals.

Probably thought days of pretend making perfume by crushing flowers were over but rose water tonic is a necessary childhood indulgence. Steep some roses in water then make it into a spray. Spritz it on the face to moisturize and hydrate. Cotton wool may also be used to dab it on the face. Use this as a base before cleansing for a great result.

The animal-based products contain fats that would very effectively clog pores making the breakouts even worse than they are. Vegan topicals, on the other hand, are very low in such fats. They are also high on anti-oxidants. Often the body is able to handle oxidative stress but more often than not the efforts are not sufficient.

When a foreign party invades the body, the immune system reacts by triggering an inflammatory reaction. This reaction while necessary also causes redness and swelling. Phenols have anti-inflammatory properties that keep the swelling and redness at bay. Free radicals are neutralized and the skin is able to breathe a little bit.

To cap it all, vegan products have natural antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties. The breakouts will most probably be caused by bacteria and germs. Steps need to be taken to keep the skin clear of these as much as possible. It increases the chance of healing and prevents future breakouts.
