Trauma is the result of a very disturbing and stressful happening that breaks a persons trust resulting to a feeling of being secured, scared, being controlled of. This usually occurs to victims of mental and physical abuse. Then it leaves you with the memories of the horrifying events and the pain that was felt.

Usually, when a person experienced a bad thing, the memories and the pain that you have undergone takes a while before you forget about it. The reaction of different people who are traumatized will not be the same from one another. That true and that is normal. The reaction would vary on the type of trauma that the person experienced. It is normal that a person going through would not want to share what is going through with him. Some even do not share anything at all or you are unable to tell if he or she is having a problem. Even to the people that you love it is very hard to share what more to the therapist that is a stranger to you.

Do some baby steps. Try to open up to at least one person and soon after you will have the courage to talk to a therapist. Not seeking help is a bad idea that is why to have to really try your best to overcome it.

Talking to a specialist will be a big help. Mostly, people who have already experienced this said that deciding to go to one is the best idea that they made. It will not only help you with what you are dealing with but the therapist will serve as your friend. You will not regret getting into one because at the end of the session you can truly feel lighter than before.
