Natural Pain Management With Kent WA Chiropractic Office Is Favorable And Effective

By Jessie Drolet

When someone has chronic pain in the back, neck or other areas, he or she may turn to chiropractic care. It is favored because it does not rely on pain medication, either over the counter or prescription strength. It does not use invasive measures either. This natural way of managing pain is appealing to the general public for those reasons. Kent Chiropractic uses proven methods such as spinal adjustments and flexion-distraction to alleviate the pain a client is suffering.

When you are ready to reach out, call for an appointment. You will start with a complete evaluation including examining the spine. Testing may include an x-ray, range of motion evaluation and strength measurement. If the results indicate you are an appropriate candidate you are scheduled for care.

If your condition can be improved by chiropractic methods you are scheduled for a series of appointments to have them administered. For spinal subluxation, manual adjustments can facilitate improvement. When the spine is subluxated, meaning it is misaligned, pressure is exerted against the delicate nerve roots located in the spinal cord.

The small hollow bones that make up the spine encase and protect the delicate spinal cord within. To reduce the pressure caused by them being subluxated, flexion-distraction methods are known to be effective. For your care, they may be applied along with spinal adjustments and relaxing massage.

It should be understood that the pain is not alleviated immediately. A series of office visits are required to administer adjustments. Massage may be used concomitantly during each office appointment. This will relax the tightened muscles in the back or neck.

Over time, as the pressure to the nerve roots diminishes, you can expect an incremental reduction in pain. After several of the sessions, you may notice the pain is lifting. Soon you may look forward to a return to work. You may be able to resume many of the other activities you enjoyed before the pain started.
