By Larry Moore

While many seniors are still active, there are others whom no longer can or wish to travel each winter. As such, Retirement Communities St Johns County FL are now offering affordable options for full and part-time stays whether desiring to own a home, rent an apartment or live in a mobile or RV park.

Unlike many other areas in which senior living is often restricted to apartments, mobile home and RV parks, this area has a lot to offer. For, whether looking to live in a new home, manufactured home, waterfront home or luxurious golf resorts featuring apartments, condos and new homes, the area has something for everyone. Known as the Sunshine State, Florida is one of the most popular destinations for seniors.

Offering a variety of housing types from river front villas to pre-owned and new manufactured housing, it is one of the most popular options with seniors. For, prices range from $50,000 to the mid-130s, something unheard of in many other areas.

Seniors on more limited incomes may want to consider living in a 55+ RV park. In some cases, RV parks host adults 55+ while in others, there are areas reserved for seniors in those with general populations. In either case, these options are often the least expensive. For, most RV parks, whether staying on a short or long-term basis are generally based on per night or month to month rental rates.

As with communities in which individuals are home owners, RV parks also offer a number of amenities and activities including RV Storage, Boating, Waterfront Marinas, outdoor activities, pools and spas, public rest rooms and showers and community centers. In addition, as these parks are often located near ocean beaches or lakefronts, there are often a number of hike and bike trails within a reasonable distance of the parks.
