An Outline On Matte Top Coat Usage

By Robert Bennett

Applying smooth, neat and uniform layers of varnish is not obvious. First, an interested individual should learn how to do it and practice often. It is said that practice makes perfect. However, even after a long time of practicing, experts find themselves painting outside edges. If it happens, one will need removers to wipe out excess paint. Experts recommend that polish should be applied on three levels. The first layer is base, then polish and finally a matte top coat. The essence of having all three levels is to strengthen nails. The paragraphs below outline the basic steps of nail polishing.

First, a person should prepare the hands and legs. The first step in fingers preparation is the removal of old polish. Numerous people use sharp objects such as a razor blade. This should be avoided since scratching damages surface structures. Instead, shop for quality paint removers. The next step is cutting overgrown structures and shaping them. You will require a file, clipper, and buffer. Buffers have various abrasion levels to help an individual in evening out and softening fingers surface. Trimming strengthens fingernails edges.

After trimming, cuticles need to be removed. These are white layers of dead skin that form on edges with time. Individuals need to soften them beforehand. Thus, soak yourself in a jar of warm soapy water for a few minutes. Exfoliation using a body scrub is also important to open blocked pores surrounding your toes or fingers. Instead of completely eliminating cuticles, it is advisable to push them back and obtain an oval shape. Cuticles protect growing part of fingers.

Scrubbing and wiping off excess water on your hands exposes skin to dehydration. Consequently, dehydration encourages a dry skin surface. To minimize this, it is important to moisturize. Any product that has the ability of moisturizing can be used. Examples of such are lotions, massaging, almond and cuticle oil. Hydration smoothens your skin surface.

Give your skin some time to absorb moisture before wiping to remove oil on nails. If a person paints an oily surface, the varnish will last only a couple of days. Oil becomes the point of contact. Alcohol-based solutions perfectly clear grease. Since you do not want varnish to come in contact with skin, apply some petroleum jelly. Besides skin protection, jelly makes it easy to peel off excess paint.

The actual application begins by spreading base paint. Base polish plays two roles. First, it prevents structures from cracking by strengthening them. Secondly, it helps increase the lifespan of a varnish. When the base layer dries up, apply actual polish in three strokes. Wait until this is also dry before applying a second layer. Later, add a layer of shining paint to obtain a shiny look. A person can soak hands in ice to fasten curing.

You will note that some varnish spills outside edges. Leaving it there affects neatness. To remove, dub a piece of cotton wool in remover. Wipe carefully ensuring you trace edge line perfectly. Only carry out this process when the paint is completely dry.

If that process is followed carefully, folks will definitely love the results. Most significantly, choose quality manicure products. In case one notices their fingers cracking, they should avoid polishing for some time.
