The Use Of The Esthetician Practical Exam Kit

By Peter Wright

Being an esthetician isnt at all as breezy as its cracked up to be. After all, its not merely all about being artsy, creative, and having a steady hand. A certain street smarts and common sense is of course to be pitched in. But theres one thing not to be forgotten, since it is this, after all, that would make all the difference in whether or not one would be able to get to work and be productive in the first place. Were referring to the esthetician practical exam kit.

This nifty kit has all the staples and implements every esthetician needs. It contains everything from general supplies to specific esthetic supplies. It isnt just haphazardly sourced, moreover. All these are gathered with the greatest circumspection, practicality, and quality in mind.

Aseptic procedures may be more stringent than theyre warranted to be. For example, theres ensuring that the esthetician puts the makeup sponge in the pallet between uses, and never in the table top, no matter if its been overly sanitized. Of course, that applies to any other tools and implements used during the exam.

Before one turns up for the exam, it will be nifty to make sure that you have all the tools and other implements you need, weeks and even months before. Of course, it can be quite a bit of a challenging enterprise, since sourcing all requires one to stroll around perhaps three or more stores. However, there are special stores, and also online ones, that share all implements and tools of the kit in their entirety.

However, there are commonalities in that the moot point is the observation of proper infection control. Of course, these are all for intuitive reasons. Needless to say, cosmetology and beautification can be an invasive procedure. So beauticians should see to it that tools arent reused on customers without proper washing and sterilization. Basic enough, though being lazy and especially being uninformed of consequences can preclude their observance.

The examination starts with the preparation of your work area and your model. The latter may be in the form of a live person or a mannequin model. The work surface, furthermore, should be sanitized, especially the work table and chair. The tools and implements should be laid out or organized in a way thats accessible to the esthetician.

Then they get down to the practical bits. This includes dealing with or removing superfluous body hair, using a soft wax removal procedure or some such. And theres also the tweezing of the models eyebrows.

And then there are the facial procedures. It may go on step by step and should of course start with the toning and cleansing of the face. A facial massage may also be factored in. This is a specialized procedures that require the mastering of specific massage strokes, especially the four most common. The esthetician may also be asked to perform the proper applications and removal of treatment masks and other kinds of protection. All these steps are not just off the bat performances but also requires and in depth analysis of the particularities of the model, such as the face shape, skin type, and some such.

All in all, these can all be divisible to general esthetic supplies and esthetic supplies. As said, exams vary by state, although it is worth noting that most abide by the official practical exam set by the national state board of cosmetology, called the national esthetics practical examination. The kit and its composite essentials will also be set by the NIC.
